Traveling with health or mobility concerns? Wondering how accessible your tour will be or what support is available for medical needs? This article will help you feel confident and prepared every step of the way.
We know every traveler is different. Whether you have dietary restrictions, use mobility devices, or travel with medical equipment, sharing this information with us early on helps us create a smoother, more comfortable experience for you on tour.
How to share health & mobility information
You can enter your health details in the Health Notes section of your online account (U.S. travelers/Canadian travelers) or mobile app (U.S. travelers/Canadian travelers). This is the place to share dietary needs, medical conditions, or mobility considerations.
Our team reviews your notes with care so we can plan accordingly and help you feel ready for your specific itinerary.
Keep in mind that many tours involve walking, stairs, and uneven terrain. Since the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) doesn’t apply internationally, accessibility varies by destination. If you have questions, we’re happy to walk through your itinerary with you to help set the right expectations.
What to include in your Health Notes
Please be as detailed as possible if any of the following apply:
- Mobility devices: Planning to bring a walker, cane, or wheelchair? Let us know. Note that electric scooters cannot be accommodated.
- Accessible hotel rooms: Share your needs, and we'll reach out to hotels on your behalf. We may be able to accommodate allergies, medical devices, and standard room accommodations such as walk-in showers. Please be specific if this is a need or request. Additional charges may apply.
- Assisted listening devices: We may be able to provide assistive headsets.
- CPAP machines: Tell us if you’ll be traveling with one so we can plan for proper setup.
- Refrigerated medicine: Tell us if you need to store medication like insulin.
- Dietary requirements: Be specific about allergies vs. preferences so we can support your needs as best we can.
- Service animals: Most tours cannot accommodate service animals. Contact us if this is a concern.
What to expect on tour

- Porterage is not always available and is never included for train or ferry transfers.
Tour pace & activity level
- Expect full days with early starts and evening returns.

Itinerary adjustments
- Personal adjustments (like taking a taxi instead of walking) are at your own expense.
- Missed activities due to health or mobility reasons aren’t reimbursable, but travel insurance may help.
Dedicated assistance
