This article includes tips for getting to your hotel independently if you miss the group airport transfer, along with details on transfer reimbursement.
Access your hotel information
Look up your first hotel's name and address, which can be found in your Go Ahead app and can be viewed offline (without Wi-Fi or cellular data). Learn how to find your hotel details.
Taxis and rideshare apps
We recommend using a trusted rideshare app or an official taxi.
Taxi tips
- Only take official and licensed taxis, typically found in designated taxi queues at airport pickup areas. Ask airport staff if you’re unsure of where the official queue is located and avoid taking taxis from drivers who approach you outside of this area.
- Provide your destination and agree on the fare with the driver ahead of time. If the proposed fare seems unreasonable, ask an airport staff member for advice on the typical cost.
- While most taxis accept major credit cards (Visa and Mastercard), it’s best to confirm this with the driver before departing. Additionally, some "cashless" locations may only accept credit cards. If you plan to pay in cash, confirm that the driver accepts cash before starting your ride.
Rideshare tips
- Uber and Lyft may not be available in all locations.
- In some areas, local rideshare apps may be used instead of Uber and Lyft.
- Follow the safety guidelines outlined by the rideshare app you select.
Public transportation
If you're looking for a more cost-effective and alternative transfer to your hotel, public transit options are often available directly from the airport. For specific public transit instructions, we recommend messaging your Tour Director in the Go Ahead app. Learn how to contact your Tour Director.

Missed transfer reimbursement
Lastly, be sure to keep the receipt for your transportation from the airport to the hotel. If you miss the prearranged group transfer, you’ll be eligible for reimbursement by Go Ahead or the insurance company for the cost of your ride to the hotel.
