This guide is for travelers booked on tours that begin in London and have group airport transfers arranged by Go Ahead Tours. These transfers are part of Go Ahead’s airfare package and are only available on the standard tour start and end dates.
If you’re visiting London independently before your tour begins, this information won’t apply.
Arrival instructions
All travelers arriving in London are transferred to their hotel by Addison Lee, a private chauffeur company. Your Tour Director will meet you at the hotel.
Here’s what to expect when you land:
- Go through passport control and baggage claim.
- Exit customs and enter the arrivals hall.
- Look for your driver near the barrier holding a sign with your name (this may be digital).
- The sign may also include names of other travelers sharing the same transfer.
- Wear your Go Ahead name tag to help your driver and fellow travelers spot you.
If you don’t see your driver within 45 minutes:
- Stay in the arrivals hall and note which terminal you’re in.
- Your driver may be picking up travelers from another terminal and will return shortly.
- Message your Tour Director in the Go Ahead app for help locating your driver.
- Connect to the airport’s Wi-Fi if you don’t have an international phone plan.
