Here's an explanation of the types of hotel rooms offered on a Go Ahead tour. You can make adjustments to your room type until your Tour Finalization Date depending on availability by sending us a message.
You can view your current room type from the "Payments & invoice" section of your online account (U.S. travelers/Canadian travelers). Once there, select "View current invoice" and your room type will be noted under "Rooming" (and "Extension Rooming" if applicable) on your downloaded invoice.
All hotel rooms offered on a Go Ahead tour include a private bathroom.
Private Rooms
A private room, also known as a "single room," sleeps one person and normally has one bed. The bed may be twin, double/full or queen-size depending on the hotel and destination. Private room availability on certain tours is limited and isn't guaranteed. On all tours, besides Solo Traveler Tours, private rooms come with an additional cost known as a "single supplement."
Go Ahead Tours does not offer roommate matching for solo travelers.
Double Rooms
A double room sleeps two people. This is a double occupancy room with one bed. These rooms typically have a double/full or queen bed. It's possible that this room could have two twin beds that are pushed together.
Twin Rooms
A twin room sleeps two people. This is a double occupancy room with two beds. These rooms typically have twin or double/full beds.
Family Rooms
Family rooms are designed for one or two adults traveling with one child or two children. This room type cannot accommodate three adult travelers. Family rooms are no more spacious than a twin or double room. Travelers interested in a family room must be comfortable with all the possible room configurations, as they can vary from hotel to hotel.
The different types of family room configurations are as follows:
- 2 double/full beds (most common)
- 1 double/full bed + 1 single bed
- 1 double/full + a cot/sofa bed
- 2 twin beds + a cot/sofa bed
- 3 twin beds
Please note that this room type is not guaranteed and is only available upon request. If available, family rooms don't have an additional cost.
