Looking to make your tour even more memorable? You can enhance your experience by adding optional excursions - whether it’s a wine tasting, a guided museum visit, or a scenic day trip. Most excursions can be added right from your mobile app or online account.
From the Go Ahead mobile app
- Using a smartphone or tablet, access the Go Ahead mobile app (U.S. travelers/Canadian travelers)
- Log in to your account
- Navigate to the Tours tab at the bottom of the screen
- Select your upcoming tour
- Select Customize your tour from the Tour details section
- Add the excursions you’d like to book
- Excursion are added for all travelers on your reservation automatically – to choose who is joining each excursion, tap Edit
- Make your payment:
- If you are past the Tour Finalization Date, you’ll be prompted to pay in full
- If you are before the Tour Finalization Date, the cost of the excursions will be added to your balance
From your online account
- Log in to your online account (U.S. travelers/Canadian travelers) using a computer, tablet, or smartphone
- In the top right of your screen, click My account and then My tours
- Click on your tour
- Click on Customization options
- Add the excursions you’d like to book by clicking Select
- A window will pop up prompting you to select which travelers will be joining this excursion
- Make your payment:
- If you are past the Tour Finalization Date, you’ll be prompted to pay in full
- If you are before the Tour Finalization Date, the cost of the excursions will be added to your balance
Excursion deadlines
Adding excursions
Most excursions can be added up to 4 days before your tour departs, but we recommend booking as early as possible to secure your spot - some excursions have minimum enrollment requirements.
- Many excursions can also be added on tour through your Tour Director (for an additional $10 per person, per excursion).

Some excursions require advance booking so we can secure tickets for your group. If you try to add one past the deadline in your online account (U.S. travelers/Canadian travelers) or mobile app (U.S. travelers/Canadian travelers), you’ll see a “By request” notice.
- Send us a message to request to be added to any excursions past their booking deadline - we’ll reach out to our Operations team and do our best to confirm your spot.
Removing excursions
Need to remove an excursion? Send us a message and we’ll review your request.
Most excursions can be removed up to 4 days prior to departure with no fees. Excursions with booking deadlines cannot be removed after that deadline. If you voluntarily opt out of any excursions while on tour, those excursions are not eligible to be refunded.
Shore excursions (for cruise tours)
If you're traveling on one of our cruise tours - like Denali National Park & Wild Alaska or Italy, the Adriatic & Greek Islands - you can book shore excursions directly through the cruise line.
You’ll receive a cruise document about two weeks before departure with instructions on how to book these excursions either pre-tour or onboard.
