Excursions are the best way to personalize your Go Ahead experience. Whether it’s an olive oil tasting in Tuscany or a sushi-making class in Tokyo, these optional activities offer unique ways to dive deeper into your destination.
What to expect
- Excursions are offered during free time and do not run in tandem with other excursions
- Designed to complement your itinerary without replacing or overlapping any included activities
- Options range from cultural experiences, to culinary adventures, to relaxing river cruises or catamaran rides – mix & match to maximize your time and experience the best of your tour
How to add excursions
Before your tour:
- Log in to your online account (U.S. travelers/Canadian travelers) or mobile app (U.S. travelers/Canadian travelers)
- Add excursions from the Itinerary page or the Tour Customization page
- Most excursions can be added up to 4 days before departure
- Some tours have deadlines to enroll – usually between 90 and 20 days prior to departure – look for deadlines in the app or online when booking excursions
- If you are interested in booking an excursion past the enrollment deadline, send us a message and we will do our best to add you
On tour:
- Many excursions can be added while on tour through the mobile app (U.S. travelers/Canadian travelers) or your Tour Director
- See this article for instructions on how to book excursions using the mobile app: How to add excursions
Keep in mind:
- On-tour additions cost an additional $10 per person, per excursion
- Some excursions must be booked in advance - check your options early!
Note: Adding excursions early helps avoid cancellations due to low enrollment – we strongly recommend adding excursions as soon as possible.
Next steps:
- Review excursions on your tour online (U.S. travelers/Canadian travelers) or in the mobile app (U.S. travelers/Canadian travelers).
- Add excursions early, and check for any pre-book deadlines.
- If you’d like to add excursions while on-tour, you can do so via the mobile app (U.S. travelers/Canadian travelers) or by asking your Tour Director.
