This article includes step-by-step instructions on how to complete the Venice access fee exemption form.
Please note: You only need to read and follow the instructions in this article if you received an email or text message from Go Ahead indicating that this requirement applies to you. If you haven't received an email from us, you can disregard this article.
The City of Venice has introduced a new entry fee that day-trip tourists visiting Venice on certain dates between April 3, 2026 and July 26, 2026 must pay. This fee does not apply to tourists staying overnight in Venice, meaning all Go Ahead travelers are automatically exempt from this new requirement. However, travelers must still complete an online exemption form which will generate a QR code as proof of staying overnight in Venice. Each travel party only needs to complete the form once.
Travelers are required to keep this QR code readily accessible while in Venice in case authorities request to see it. Failure to do so may result in fines. Like all entry requirements, compliance with this regulation is solely the responsibility of the traveler. Go Ahead cannot provide assistance in the event that a traveler is fined.
Follow these instructions to fill out the form
Please note: We strongly recommend using a computer or tablet to fill out this form when possible.

Email instructions
7) Select the red box that says "EMAIL"
8) Verify your email address is entered correctly, then select "NEXT"
9) Confirm all the information you’ve entered is correct, then select “Confirm”
10) You will have 120 seconds to check your email, receive the OTP code, and copy/paste the code in the field provided on the form. Once the code is entered, select "CONFIRM OTP CODE."
- The code will be sent from noreply_cda@comune.venezia.it

- If you don’t enter the OTP code within 120 seconds, a notice will appear saying "Error verifying OTP code." No need to worry if this happens! You can simply try again without needing to complete the form again. If this happens, select "BACK," then select "Confirm" again. You can choose to either print the QR codes or save a copy to your phone’s camera roll. It’s important that you can easily access these codes throughout your stay in Venice.
