Whether you’ve booked flights with Go Ahead or are traveling independently, arrival day is the start of your adventure. This guide walks you through what to expect when you land and how to connect with your Go Ahead representative or get to your hotel smoothly.
If you’ve booked flights with Go Ahead
A transfer from the airport to your first hotel is included if you have a Go Ahead Flights Package and arrive on the tour’s standard arrival day. A Go Ahead representative will meet you at the airport and guide you to your transfer.
Follow these steps once you land:
Head through passport control
- If traveling internationally, go through any required passport checks.
- If lines are long, message your Tour Director in the Go Ahead app to give them a heads up. If you don’t have an international phone plan, connect to the airport’s free Wi-Fi (available at most airports).
Grab your checked bag and enter the arrivals hall
- After collecting your luggage, exit baggage claim and enter the arrivals area.
- You may need to go through customs before entering the arrivals hall.
- If you have a Go Ahead name tag, wear it to help your Go Ahead representative spot you. You can also look for other travelers wearing green lanyards and name tags.
Meet your Go Ahead representative
- Look for a friendly face holding a green EF Go Ahead Tours sign. If you’re arriving into London, follow these instructions instead.
- If you don’t see them right away, stay in the arrivals area—they may be assisting another traveler and will return shortly.
- We try to group travelers arriving within about two hours of each other.
- Feel free to message your Tour Director in the Go Ahead app to let them know you’ve arrived.
- If you still don’t find a Go Ahead representative after 45 minutes and can’t reach your Tour Director, call our On-Tour Support Team at +1-617-619-1911.
If you’ve reserved your own flights
If you booked your own airfare, you’ll need to arrange your own transfer from the airport to your first hotel. Your Tour Director and fellow travelers will meet you at the hotel.
- Make sure you have the hotel’s name and address handy.
- You can find your hotel details in the Go Ahead app, and they’re available offline (no Wi-Fi or data needed).
