We understand plans can change, so we have many options available to help you adjust your tour and travel arrangements.
- Reschedule your tour: To avoid cancellation fees, consider rebooking to a new tour or date. You can either rebook to a new date of the same tour or to a different tour entirely. Rebooking fees may apply. If you're interested in rescheduling your tour, please send us a message.
- Put your reservation on hold: Need more time to decide if you want to rebook or cancel? We can remove you from your current tour and freeze your account and all funds paid for 90 days. At any point within that timeframe you can get in touch with us to rebook or withdraw your reservation. Please note that this option may not be available if you're past the Tour Finalization Date. To confirm if you're eligible for this option, please send us a message.

Cancellation policy
During the Fully Refundable Booking Period, you can cancel your reservation and receive a full refund to your original form of payment. Provided it’s before the Tour Finalization Date, free cancellation is available for up to:
- 30 days after booking for travelers who enroll in AutoPay
- 30 days after booking for travelers who pay in full at the time of booking
- 72 hours after for all other travelers
After your Fully Refundable Booking Period ends, several options for changing or canceling your reservation are available. If you purchased AnyReason Protection for your tour, you’ll receive a future travel voucher for the amount of any cancellation fees and will be refunded the remaining balance of what you paid, less the cost of your travel protection package.
What is Tour Finalization Date?
That’s when we have everything confirmed on our end—it’s an important deadline to remember as you’re getting ready to go! If you're not enrolled in AutoPay, it's when your final payment is due. The Tour Finalization Date for most tours is 70 days before departure, but it’s 90 days for Land & Cruise Tours, Customized Tours, and tours including a ride on the Rocky Mountaineer.
Cancellation fees
Cancellation fees are calculated using the number of days prior to your tour's departure date. These fees are per person and include the non-refundable reservation fee of either $300 or $450.
European land tours
- 71 days or more: $300
- 70-46 days: The greater of $1,000 or 30%
- 45-8 days: The greater of $1000 or 50%
- 7-0 days: 100%
Non-European land tours and special event tours
- 71 days or more: $450
- 70-46 days: The greater of $1,000 or 30%
- 45-8 days: The greater of $1000 or 50%
- 7-0 days: 100%
Land & cruise tours, customized tours, and tours including a ride on the Rocky Mountaineer
- 91 days or more: $450
- 90-61 days: The greater of $1,000 or 30%
- 60-46 days: The greater of $1000 or 50%
- 45-14 days: 75%
- 13-0 days: 100%
Pre- and post-stays and tour extensions (if still traveling on main tour)
- 71 days or more: $0
- 70-46 days: 30% of cost
- 45-8 days: 50% of cost
- 7-0 days: 100% of cost
If you cancel your pre- or post-stay or extension within 45 days of departure and require changes to flights booked through Go Ahead, an additional flight rebooking fee of $300 per traveler, plus any change in fare, will apply in addition to the above charges.
