You can change your tour date or destination up until your Tour Finalization Date and we won't charge you any rebooking fees. It’s just one more way we put you at the center of everything we do.
What’s a Tour Finalization Date?
That’s when we have everything confirmed on our end—it’s an important deadline to remember as you’re getting ready to go! If you're not enrolled in AutoPay, it's when your final payment is due. The Tour Finalization Date for most tours is 70 days before departure, but it’s 90 days for Special Event Tours, Customized Tours, Land & Cruise Tours, and tours that include rides on the Rocky Mountaineer train.
How to rebook
If you’d like to reschedule your travel plans, you can begin the process online. First, log in to the Go Ahead account associated with your reservation. Then, select your tour and navigate to "Booking policies." You’ll have the option to choose a different date for your existing tour or switch to a new tour and confirm your details. The payment from your original reservation can be applied to your new tour.
There are a few reasons why you may be prompted to chat live or call in to complete your rebooking, including if your original reservation:
- was made as a Group Coordinator
- was made as part of a Group Coordinator's trip
- includes a family room
- includes a pre-tour or post-tour stay
- includes customized flights
- was made by another person (called the primary booker) and is associated with their account
- or is past its Tour Finalization Date.
Rebooking after the Tour Finalization Date
When rescheduling your tour on or after the Tour Finalization Date, standard rebooking fees will apply:
- Tour Finalization Date to 46 days prior to departure: $500 per person
- 45 to 8 days prior to departure: $750 per person
- 7 to 0 days prior to departure: $1,000 per person
