What you need to know
We understand that life happens, and sometimes travel plans need to shift. If you’re ready to rebook your tour, we recommend getting in touch as soon as possible to keep your options open and minimize fees.

Rebooking before your Tour Finalization Date
If you rebook before your Tour Finalization Date, there is no applicable rebooking fee. You can change your tour date or switch to a different tour.
Keep in mind:
- You’ll be responsible for any price differences in tour cost, airfare, excursions, or travel protection.
- Promotions are non-transferable and will not apply to your new tour.
Rebooking on or after the Tour Finalization Date
Once your Tour Finalization Date passes, rebooking fees apply and increase as your departure date gets closer. These fees are per person and may include additional charges if you’ve booked airfare or a tour extension through Go Ahead.
Please contact us at 1-800-597-0350 (U.S. travelers) or 1-800-754-5066 (Canadian travelers) if you are looking to rebook your Rwanda tour, as there are additional fees pertaining to the necessary permits.
European land tours
- 70–46 days before departure: $500
- Plus, $300 if you purchased Go Ahead’s airfare
- 45–8 days before departure: $1,000
- Plus, $300 if you purchased Go Ahead’s airfare
- Plus, $150 if you’re booked on a tour extension
- 7–0 days before departure: $1,500
- Plus, $300 if you purchased Go Ahead’s airfare
- Plus, $300 if you’re booked on a tour extension
Non-European land tours & special event tours
- 70–46 days: $500
- Plus, $300 if you purchased Go Ahead’s airfare
- 45–8 days: $1,200

- 45–14 days: $1,500

- 13–0 days: $2,000

Ecuador & Galápagos Islands tours and tours including the Rocky Mountaineer
- 90–61 days: $500
- Plus, $300 if you purchased Go Ahead’s airfare
- Plus, $150 if you’re booked on a tour extension
- 60–0 days: Changing travel plans this close to tour doesn’t qualify for rebooking with a fee. Instead, you will be charged a cancellation fee depending on how many days from departure you are.
