Each Go Ahead tour is assigned a Tour Director to lead and accompany a group throughout their journey. They’re responsible for ensuring the whole group enjoys a positive and informative experience. Tour Directors are extremely knowledgeable about the destinations they cover. Your Tour Director can help with recommendations for free time, getting around, and where to grab a delicious bite to eat—they always have the best insider tips!
You’ll meet your Tour Director on arrival day, and they’ll be there to support you throughout the full duration of your tour. They’ll stay at the same hotels as you, accompany the group on excursions, and travel with you when you change locations. In addition to getting to know the travelers on their tour and ensuring the group is having a great time, Tour Directors manage logistics, reservations, on-tour issues, and more. They do a lot behind the scenes.
Be sure to download the Go Ahead mobile app to access messages from your Tour Director leading up to and during your trip. You can also connect with your fellow tourmates through the app. Not every Tour Director posts updates prior to tour, but those who do will typically post starting a few days before departure. Once you’re on the road, you can send direct messages to your Tour Director via the app, separate from the group chat with everyone.
