Noticing that your flight itinerary changed or disappeared from your account? If you're seeing unexpected updates or missing flights, you're likely experiencing a schedule change made by the airline.
Flight schedule changes are common, especially within three months of departure. These updates are made by the airline and can affect one or more parts of your journey. Here's what to know and how to stay informed.
What is a flight schedule change?
A schedule change is any update the airline makes to your flight itinerary before departure. This might include:
- A new departure or arrival time
- A change in flight number
- A new routing or layover
Airlines make these changes for many reasons, such as aircraft availability, staffing, or broader operational needs, and they’re responsible for rebooking you as needed.
How to monitor your flight schedule
Once your flight details are released (between 85–60 days before your tour), it’s important to keep an eye on your reservation:
- Use the airline’s website or app: View your reservation using the 6-digit code from your Go Ahead account (U.S. travelers/Canadian travelers) or mobile app (U.S. travelers/Canadian travelers).
- Check your details: Make sure your name and personal info match your passport exactly. If your information does not match your passport, there are often high fees from the airline to reissue your ticket. Please contact us right away if you notice any discrepancies.
- Stay updated: Double-check your departure time and sign up for email or text alerts from the airline for real-time updates.
If your flights disappear from MyAccount
If your itinerary was previously visible but has disappeared, it’s likely due to a schedule change issued by the airline. This is common and nothing to worry about - our Flights Team is working to confirm the updated itinerary.
You’ll receive an email once your new itinerary is finalized. If your flights have been missing for more than 10 business days, please contact our Traveler Support Team.
Will I be notified?
- Minor changes: These are typically less than one hour and may not trigger a direct notification from Go Ahead. You’ll be responsible for monitoring these through the airline.
- Major changes: If your itinerary changes by an hour or more, if there’s a misconnection, or if your new arrival time affects your tour, we’ll send you an email update.
Next steps:
- Download your airline’s mobile app and add your reservation.
- Confirm your name and flight information match your passport.
- Enroll in airline notifications for real-time updates.
- Contact us if your flights are missing for over 10 business days.
