Group travel is all about sharing unforgettable moments with others, and every traveler plays a part in making the experience safe, respectful, and inclusive. If you're wondering what behavior is expected on tour or how to help create a welcoming environment, you're in the right place.
What respectful travel looks like
We ask all travelers to follow a few simple but meaningful guidelines to help ensure everyone feels comfortable and cared for. These expectations are designed to foster kindness, curiosity, and connection throughout your journey.
Here’s what we ask of every traveler:
- Be respectful to your fellow tourmates, Tour Director, bus driver, hospitality staff, and everyone you meet along the way.
- Use kind and appropriate language—words matter.
- Remember you’re a guest in someone else’s home.
- Consider the impact your words and actions may have on others.
- Embrace differences with curiosity and openness.
- Learn about and follow local customs when needed.
- Listen to new perspectives and engage with people from different backgrounds.
Group travel works best when everyone feels seen and supported. That means showing up for each other, literally and figuratively.
- Be on time so the group can stay on schedule.
- Listen to your Tour Director’s guidance.
- Speak up if you’re experiencing a problem or health issue.
If something goes wrong
We’re committed to making every tour a safe and welcoming experience. If you witness or experience harassment or violence, please report it immediately to your Tour Director or our On-Tour Support Team at +1-617-619-1911.
Travelers who violate these expectations may be removed from tour at their own expense. For more details, please review our Terms & Conditions (U.S. travelers/Canadian travelers).
Thank you for helping us create a travel experience that’s respectful, inclusive, and memorable for everyone.
