Not sure if your tour requires a visa? Learn how to find out if you need a visa.
The process for applying for a visa varies from country to country and some countries offer several ways to obtain a visa.
If you're already scheduled to travel with us, recommendations on how to apply for your tour's required visa(s) are available in your online account (U.S. travelers/Canadian travelers) and mobile app under the "Getting ready" section.

If the visa for your destination may be purchased upon arrival
Once you arrive in the country where a visa is required for entry, you’ll proceed to the area where visa processing is handled. This is an easy and cost-effective way of obtaining your visa.
Please note that some countries require that certain documents be printed in advance and only accept certain payment methods when applying at the border. This is why it's important to do your research beforehand. Lines can also be long, so we suggest applying for an eVisa (if available) in advance, rather than on arrival.
Keep in mind that not every country has an on-arrival option.
There are also various options for obtaining a visa in advance
Please do not begin applying for your visa until after your Tour Finalization Date has passed.
What is Tour Finalization Date?
That’s when we have everything confirmed on our end—it’s an important deadline to remember as you’re getting ready to go! If you're not enrolled in AutoPay, it's when your final payment is due. The Tour Finalization Date for most tours is 70 days before departure, but it’s 90 days for Land & Cruise Tours, Customized Tours, and tours including a ride on the Rocky Mountaineer.
Apply online for an eVisa (recommended)
Most countries we travel to have the option to apply for a visa entirely online. You will be asked to fill out your personal and travel information and upload any required documents. At the end of your application, you will pay any applicable fees by credit card and be issued your electronic visa typically in just a few days. This is a very fast and cost-effective way to obtain your visa.
Through your nearest consulate or embassy
You may be able to purchase a visa directly through the consulate or embassy of your destination country. You should contact your nearest consulate or embassy, or visit their website to learn about their visa process. With this option, you'll likely need to apply in person (make sure you show up prepared with any required documents) or through the mail, and the processing time is typically longer than applying for an eVisa.
Use our partner, VisaCentral
Or, you may choose to use our partner, VisaCentral (U.S. travelers/Canadian travelers), a secure and reliable visa processing service. VisaCentral is the best option if you'd prefer assistance with applying for your visa. They will apply on your behalf, but you must provide them with the information they will need to do that. This option is the most expensive due to service fees and has a longer processing time.
To apply for your visa using VisaCentral, visit their website (U.S. travelers/Canadian travelers) to get started, and if asked, use reference code 73041 for more information and to receive a special traveler rate on your visa kit.
Read the VisaCentral application carefully and only select the optional services you wish to pay for. You may need a visa letter from Go Ahead in order to complete your VisaCentral application. Please send us a message to request a visa letter.
