Not sure what ID you’ll need for your upcoming tour? Whether you're traveling internationally or staying within the U.S. or Canada, having the right documentation is key. Requirements vary based on your citizenship and destination, so let’s walk through what you’ll need to bring.
If you're already booked on a tour, you can find passport and ID requirements specific to your itinerary in your online account (U.S. travelers/Canadian travelers) or mobile app (U.S. travelers/Canadian travelers) under the Getting ready section.
For international travel
U.S. and Canadian citizens must have a valid passport with an expiration date that extends at least six months beyond the date of your return to the U.S. or Canada. While one blank passport page is usually enough for entry stamps, some countries may require more.

If you're not a U.S. or Canadian citizen, please contact the consulate or embassy of each country on your tour to confirm entry requirements.
For travel within the U.S.
U.S. citizens need valid government-issued ID for domestic air travel. This can be:
- A U.S. passport
- A state-issued ID or driver’s license
Starting May 7, 2025, state-issued IDs and licenses must be REAL ID-compliant. Look for:
- A yellow or black star
- A white star inside a circle or bear icon in the top right corner
If you're unsure whether your ID meets REAL ID standards, we recommend bringing your passport as a backup. Learn more at the REAL ID website.
Canadian citizens traveling to the U.S. must have a valid passport with an expiration date extending at least six months beyond reentry.
For travel within Canada
Canadian citizens need valid government-issued ID for domestic flights.
U.S. citizens traveling to Canada must have a valid passport with an expiration date extending at least six months beyond the date of your return to the U.S.
