Travel coverage can be added through your online account or mobile app as long as it's before your Tour Finalization Date. This is the deadline to add one of our comprehensive travel protection plans.
What’s a Tour Finalization Date?
That’s when we have everything confirmed on our end—it’s an important deadline to remember as you’re getting ready to go! If you're not enrolled in AutoPay, it's when your final payment is due. The Tour Finalization Date for most tours is 70 days before departure, but it’s 90 days for Special Event Tours, Customized Tours, Land & Cruise Tours, and tours that include rides on the Rocky Mountaineer train.
Adding travel protection from your online account
- Log in to your online account using a computer, tablet, or smartphone
- Select your upcoming tour
- Select "Travel protection"
- Select the travel protection package you'd like to add
- You'll be prompted to make a payment, unless you've already covered the cost of insurance (not including your deposit) or if you're enrolled in AutoPay.
Adding travel protection from your mobile app
- Using a smartphone or tablet, access the Go Ahead mobile app
- Log in to your account (unless you're already logged in)
- Look at the bottom of your screen and make sure you're on the "Tours" page
- Select your upcoming tour
- Select "Travel protection" located under "Tour details"
- Select the travel protection package you'd like to add
- You'll be prompted to make a payment, unless you've already covered the cost of insurance (not including your deposit) or if you're enrolled in AutoPay.
