Each Go Ahead Tours experience includes a sightseeing tour. These tours are guided by knowledgeable local guides or our experienced Tour Directors, who will introduce travelers to the destination's main attractions and local culture. Every sightseeing tour is unique, offering a variety of ways to explore and immerse yourself in the experience.
Bus sightseeing tours
A bus tour allows you to enjoy the sights primarily from the comfort of your seat, offering a panoramic journey through cityscapes and landscapes. Throughout the tour, your local guide or Tour Director will provide insightful commentary and gladly answer any questions you may have.
Walking sightseeing tours
A walking tour is exactly what it sounds like. Instead of sightseeing from a bus, travelers will explore on foot with a guide and their fellow tourmates. Comfortable shoes are essential for this type of tour, as well as for all Go Ahead adventures. Walking tours provide a more intimate experience, featuring several stops at notable landmarks and often uncovering hidden gems along the way.
Curious about how much walking to expect? You can view a tour's physical activity level on each tour's website page. If you've already booked a trip, you can find your tour's physical activity level under the "Health notes” section of your online account (U.S. travelers/Canadian travelers) or Go Ahead mobile app. Learn more about physical activity levels.
Photo stop opportunities
Photo stops take place during both bus and walking sightseeing tours. During these stops, your group will have a brief opportunity to get off the bus or pause during your walking tour to capture photos of the site and its surroundings. This is a great chance to appreciate the beauty around you and snap some memorable pictures. For photo stops during bus tours, travelers typically have the option to stay on the bus if they prefer.
Whether capturing snapshots, soaking in panoramic views, or exploring on foot, each sightseeing style promises a unique and unforgettable experience.
